PNG Adds Gateway Long Distance Service

New Gateway Long Distance service provides SIP advantages at a savings.

CINCINNATI, OH – March 10, 2009 – PowerNet Global Enterprise Solutions, a division of PowerNet Global Communications, the telecommunication reseller known for providing world-class service to their agents and customers across the industry, announced that they have introduced Gateway Long Distance service into their SIP offering.

Unlike many current IP services offered today, PowerNet Global’s Gateway Long Distance does not require the purchase of expensive IP equipment. The service allows businesses to gain the advantages of IP telephony while utilizing their existing legacy phone equipment.

In addition to this convenient feature, the revolutionary service provides two T-1’s worth of call capacity on one circuit, allowing 46 channels of simultaneous calls. These unique features facilitate heavy call center traffic and high calls per second, all at a significant cost savings.

“Due to recent changes in carrier billing practices, customers are now looking to SIP solutions as the best option for their traffic,” said Matt Ziebro, VP of Enterprise Sales at PowerNet Global. “The PNG Gateway Long Distance product presents our customers with a cost-effective solution that provides greater flexibility and less dependency on a single underlying carrier.\"

PowerNet Global’s Gateway Long Distance service works by supplying businesses with a T-1 DIA circuit (or Private Line circuit, if requested) and gateway device that converts calls to SIP and terminates them on PNG’s network. This includes outbound LD calls and inbound toll-free service.

By taking advantage of this offering, agents can bring businesses the flexibility and affordability of advanced, next-generation services without the additional costs that typically come with IP telephony.
